First sign of... no, not winter, just fresh snow. It's September! You can see the deciduous trees have just begun to turn. Only the bush in the avalanche chute is in full orange fall mode. The snow is at the top of the mountains above and around Bear Lake, in the West Kootenay, near New Denver, BC.
