Somebody's Watching Me

I find spiders so intriguing, their different variations of colours, patterns and species, there's so many! I have never been a fan of spiders, until I got my macro lens, now I go out of my way to find and photograph them. I even pick them up if they are trapped somewhere, or stuck indoors. I don't know all the different names of them, but I when I found this one, I just had to get its photo.

Did You Hear That?

I have had a fascination with eagles since I was a kid, they are such majestic birds. As I was photographing this one, a raven flew over and acted like it was going to start dive-bombing this eagle. It looked up and just stared at it as it was flying around. I guess that was enough, because the raven didn't dare come any closer.

My small hydro dam hike includes a long stop at the base of the dam. The site is prefered by many waterfowl. I use to observe their behaviour in that situation and of course do some shots that includes two or tree different kind of birds

Impromptu masterpiece

An all natural masterpiece done by the Master. Moving light waves smoothly suggest the invisible clear water. Standing out in the middle is a bright white delicate feather and a red twisted drown leaf, both having lost contact with the mother ship. A black patch opening at the top right corner exit the eye into the unknown.

Stormy day at Mont Sourire in Lanaudière, Québec

There was a light drizzle, a cold breeze, you could feel the last of autumn fading away. This short 30 min hike will bring you to the top of Mont Sourire (smile mountain in English). It's a wonderful outdoor activity for families, friends and even dogs!

Batman Rises

This is a Halloween themed photo of a "mermaid's purse": a skate or shark egg. The shape and shadow remind me of Batman, in black and white in the curves and textures of the sand. We have quite a few species of skates and sharks in Atlantic Canada. Happy Halloween everyone.
